The Most Points Ever Scored By An NBA Player!

The NBA world has seen some of the most extraordinary performances that take your breath away!

Weather it’s the King of the court who keeps scoring and scoring becoming unstoppable. And

This only means that their individual point total also keeps soaring. Leaving us fans wondering how many points is he going to record at the end of the game?

As we’re currently on the nascent stage of NBA 2019/20 season. It sounds like the perfect time to take a look through the record books at some of the most spectacular individual scoring games of all time.

1. Wilt Chamberlain, 100 points 3/2/1962 against the Knicks

Wilt Chamberlain has a ridiculous career, to say the least. He scored 70 points, 72 points, 73 points twice, 78 points, and 100 points, which is still the world record since 1962.

This Basketball Hall-of-Famer is also the only player in the history of NBA to average 40 and 50 points in a season as well as grab over 2,000 rebounds in one season.

The 100 points were scored for Philadelphia Warriors (crazy to think the Warriors were actually in Philly) against the New York Knicks.

He played the entire 48 minutes; the legendary NBA star went 36-63 from the field and going 28-32 from the charity stripe.

The game ended with 169-147 win over the Knicks and the best single offensive performance in NBA history.

2. Kobe Bryant, 81 points, 1/22/2006 against the Raptors

The legendary Kobe Bryant is the second NBA player to score the most points in a single game.

In the 2005/2006 NBA season, Kobe Bryant led the scoring charts with more than 35 points per game.

But in the same season, he found himself in a completely different and ethereal territory against the Toronto Raptors.

Kobe managed top score 55 points after halftime, leading the fightback from 18-point down in the second half to a 122-104 victory for the Lakers.

The final points for Bryant were 81 on 28-46 shooting. In the same game, he was 18-20 from the foul line.

Just a month earlier, Kobe had shown signs of entering the history books with 62 points in just three quarters against the Mavericks. Although he sat out the final stages of the game with the Lakers in commanding lead.

But against the Raptors, his team needed the points and he duly delivered.

3. David Thompson, 73 points, 4/9/1978 against Pistons

Nuggets legend David Thomson only managed to equal one of the records set by Wilt Chamberlain of most NBA points per game, scoring 73 against the Pistons. This performance was the last game of the 1977/1978 NBA Season.

While Thomson’s individual performance was outstanding and entered him into record books. His team fell on the short end of losing 139-137  against an impressive Detroit Pistons.

Who had five different scorers with at least 19 points in the game. Thompson however, made 28 field goals and went 17-20 from the charity stripe.
