Ray Allen’s Growth Beyond Basketball

After an 18- year long and successful career in basketball. Ray Allen is a man of many talents as his ambitions continue to extend beyond basketball. 

In 2016, Ray Allen was inducted into the Hall of Fame, an achievement that is no doubt, envied by many. Additionally, Ray Allen published a book and even opened his own restaurant. Just when we thought he was done, he added another achievement to his growing list. By designing a customized Maserati Levante GTS.  

Through Maserati’s “ONE OF ONE” program, Ray Allen, with the help of other designers, was able to create a masterpiece. Taking part in the designing process of his customized Maserati Levante GTS took him to Italy, where he’d later plan his itinerary around. Backed by his love and knowledge in cars and the current market. He aimed to create a car that would carve its own niche in the marketplace. 

Additionally, through carefully crafted designs and thought through color selections. Ray Allen admits that the car embodies refinement, class, power and simplicity. It’s not only an embodiment of what he stands for, but also the closest reflection of what it means to be an athlete and more.

The SUV, which was shown at the New York International Auto Show boasts of basketball nets and sneaker sole inspired mats among other signature features.  

Furthemorethe door sill inserts, the phrase “Maserati for Ray” is clearly engraved, complimenting the whole customized look. The interior of the car stands out, with Ray Allen’s signature embroidered on the driver’s headrest ranking as the top feature.  

Its exterior is a matter blue, a decision, that as stated by Ray Allen, was dictated by the weather in Miami. Owing to the overall sunny weather in Miami. Black was not a color among the others in consideration due to is ability to attract heat. Additionally, Ray Allen didn’t want a color that was too bright and screamed for attention from a mile away. 

Other than the car’s stylish and polished interior and exterior. It’s heralded for the incredible performance that places it among the top performing cars in the industry. According to Ray  Allen, his customized car is an instrument of precision that is both smooth and powerful on the road. 

As a firm believer in progression and consistency, he encourages young people to shirk instant gratification and seek for long- term goals. By creating and maintaining relationships, building a well- established network and bridging the necessary gaps. Young people will be able to grow into something more.
